Each one of us was touched by the encounter with Shane and Chris. At the moment I have the privilege to dwell amongst those who have either “rejected society” or “have been rejected by society” or are somehow part of nomadic urban groups, including those who roam the seas with their boats and move from place to place seeking sanctuary in abandoned places, left overs of the empire we live in. I am talking about the kraakers in Nederland.
Very rarely you will find a follower of the way amongst those “new agers” yet the challenge remains for us to bring the gospel to those places, not with words or good intentions, but with sharing in the love of Christ. Not everyone’s call perhaps, but where can we find a better Calcuta in this country?
Those interested and the ones I had the chance to talk to are welcome to come and see for yourselves :-)

To the organizers of the symposium. Thank you very much for the way in which it was arranged. One suggestion and possible petition: Would it be possible to arrange a workshop around what was shared by Shane Claiborne and Chris Hawe in which we the 200+ audience can interact with one another and network?
